This Futuristic House Rotates 360 Degrees to Capture Amazing Sunrises, Sunsets, and Vistas

This is an octagonal house in Northern Italy that rotates 360 degrees –in both directions and it chases the sun with its solar panels while offering amazing sunrises and sunsets as well as stunning views. The structure is balanced on a central pillar and has a steel frame, with walls made of wooden strips, and insulation panels of hemp and wood fiber.

Designed by architect Roberto Rossi, he drew inspiration from another rotating Italian home called Villa Girasole built in the 1930s by architects Angelo Invernizzi and Ettore Fagiuoli. This futuristic home, which is located near the city of Rimini, was constructed by Italian building contractor ProTek.

Adam Yates (Mitchelton-Scott) came through Great Britain’s 101st day in yellow to retain his three-second lead over Primoz Roglic with fellow Slovenian Tadej Pogacar a further four seconds back in third.

Here’s what Lutsenko had to say: “It’s probably the most important victory in my life – the Tour is the bigegst race of the year, so it makes me really happy. I’ve been working hard for this win and it’s a stage that we targeted. This morning, we spoke on the bus about our plan today. I knew that I was able to get into the breakaway because I was 45 minutes down in the standings but there was still a lot of work to do. I set my own pace up the penultimate climb and I managed to ensure I was in the right place and held on for the win.”

Caleb Ewan wins Tour de France stage 3; leaders prep for summit finish

Ewan earned his fourth career Tour stage victory, surging past several sprinters to edge Ireland’s Sam Bennett after five hours on the saddle. Peter Sagan finished fifth and took over the green jersey, leading the sprinter standings.

Frenchman Julian Alaphilippe remains in the yellow jersey. The top contenders to wear yellow in Paris in three weeks all finished with the same time, too.

Alexander Kristoff (UAE Team Emirates) took stage 1 and the first yellow jersey on stage 1 of the 2020 Tour de France.

The Norwegian won ahead of Mads Pedersen (Trek Segaredo) and Cees Bol (Sunweb) after a chaotic stage that was overshadowed by a run of crashes and bad weather. At one point the stage was neutralized by the riders, such was the high volume of falls on the slick roads around Nice.

Boogaali | The Ugandan Company that’s Making Affordable & Sustainable Bicycles Out of Bamboo

It’s in his workshop, in the capital city of Kampala, that young Ugandan entrepreneur Noordin Kasoma designs bicycles made from bamboo. His company, Boogaali Bicycles limited, produces bicycles that are, not only affordable but also sustainable.

In an industry dominated by steel and aluminium, the use of bamboo is not as bizarre as it might seem. Kasoma says his bikes are strong, light and durable. They are also comfortable, he says.

“The bamboo itself tries to absorb the shocks that you are passing through, better than steel or aluminium.”

Bamboo frames aren’t uncommon in the cycling world. Noordin’s bicycles, however, come with a Ugandan spin: the joints are reinforced with bark cloth, a traditional clothing material extracted from the inner bark of the Mutuba tree.

In addition to being hand-crafted, the Boogaali bamboo bicycles are customized according to the cyclist’s needs and specifications.

Florida Aquarium Successfully Spawns Threatened Pillar Coral – Video Will Blow Your Mind!

For the second year in a row, scientists at The Florida Aquarium in Apollo Beach have successfully spawned threatened Atlantic pillar coral (Dendrogyra cylindrus) though lab-induced techniques. The scientific marvel occurred this week in a research laboratory as a part of a scientific spawning project called Project Coral.

The corals spawned at nearly exactly the same time as last year, at approximately 100 minutes after sunset on the second day after the full moon of August.
