Tour de France fan who caused huge opening day crash goes on trial – France 24

Ouest-France reported the charges include a possible one-year jail sentence.

The hits keep coming for the spectator, with the professional cyclists union also taking legal action against her to pursue compensation for the injured riders.

Four riders were unable to continue in the second stage of the event as a result of injuries they sustained in the crash. 26 riders in total were listed as injured in the Tour’s official record.

The CPA released a statement to announce it is seeking symbolic compensation of $1.50 (one euro).

Unable to race at home, Taylor toured Europe and broke world records. At 22 he was going from country to country, taking on the fastest racer there in $10,000 match races, and winning. Thousands of fans came to these velodromes to watch Taylor travel at speeds approaching 40 mph. He was, pressure and prejudice. He was still living in Massachusetts, attempting various comebacks before retiring in 1910 at age 32, and then this man who had won so much began to lose: his wife, his fortune, his health.

Finally Got Back on the Road Bike Today after Years of Riding the Fat Tire Bike

Even though I have over 150,000 miles riding a road bike. my Specialized was like riding a foreign ice skate. Took over 30 minutes before I got comfortable on it again.

Had it refurbished with new wheels and tires, new handlebar tape and tuned up by Bicycle World Lake Worth.

They did a great job and ran info a familiar face, Jeffrey Langlois, a former photojournalist at the Palm Beach Daily News. We covered a lot of the same stories in the Town of Palm Beach. Small world.

So I’ll be riding that road bike again, hopefully a lot. Need the exercise.
