A Bird Strike Caused a Plane to Drop Three Dummy Bombs

According to the FAA, over 14,000 bird strikes happen every year at US airports. Most of the time they’re inconsequential, occasionally they can cause a lot of damage, but things could have been especially catastrophic on Monday when a bird strike caused an A-10C Thunderbolt II to accidentally release three bombs over Florida. Thankfully, they were just dummies designed for trainings.

Bicycle Racing is Called Suffering for a Reason

Think about pushing yourself for 3 to 6 hours through blazing heat and humidity, freezing rain, long leg-cramping climbs up a mountain, or against 20 to 30 mph headwinds – peddling at least 90 revolutions a minute with no breaks, no timeouts, nothing but constant effort. And you have to do it until the end of the cycling race.

It hurts more than any other sport. It’s painful. It can only be described as suffering.
